Parma violet, carded mixed species fibres, 10gOur Dusk mixed species fibre, sold in a 10g batch This mixed species fibre (see below) has been hand dyed in a light brown with a purple hue, reminiscent of the dusk light, Our Carded Mixed Species Fibres Professionally carded by our local mill, it contains a blend of wools, mohair and alpaca. This soft mix of fibres is very versatile, and can be used for most aspects of your projects
Weaving and Spinning
Masham Fleece, ready scoured, for hand spinners and spinning30g of masham fleece, hand washed/scoured here at Tregaver Fibre. Welcome spinners to our first fleece prepared specifically for spinners! Whether you have a traditional spinning wheel, a drop spindle or an e-spinner, our masham fleece has been well washed and is ready for you to prepare for spinning. It has not been carded or combed This fleece had several areas of heavy VM, and all of these areas have been removed - therefore for the purchase price you will receive a SECTION of fleece, weighing approx 30g. The remaining sections of fleece, which are now for sale are very low in VM, and have been hand scoured to remove the dirt and lanolin. To prepare it for spinning, you may like to card the fibre first, or use as is - it depends on how you like to spin. The staple of these fleece sections is approx 6" - 8", although some sections may be a touch shorter or longer. Herdwick and Valias Blacknose wool locks 10g for felting and doll hairUnusual but beautiful!I managed to find a herdwick cross with valais blacknose fleece from a fellow sheep keeper.The locks on this one were very interesting - although most of the fleece was white and cream, there are aspects that were grey, silver, and some brown tones tooIt definiately has herdwick in the genetics! You will find some kemp (hollow hair fibres) in these locks, which is a natural characteristic of herdwick sheep, which makes it a coarse fibre.A lovely texture with a clear wave, some locks are almost cream and white, others may have strands of grey and silver, some have brown tones, and some are very dark. Each lock is unique - which is really unusual for a single fleece! So many colours and tones throughout.Each bunch weighs 10g. Carefully prepared to keep their structure, they re ready to use straight from the bundle.

These well separated locks have been well washed and are a natural undyed colour and are around 5" in length, although some may be a touch shorter or longer Please note - wool is not white unless it has been bleached or treated, and we never use harsh chemicals on our fibres These super curls have a great lustre, and are great for Angels or felted dolls, gnome or tomte beards too!
