Goatally gorgeous mohair yarn, undyed, natural colour. Light Aran weight (v)Our first venture into spun yarn! This yarn is 100% pure mohair - so doesn't contain any synthetics like many mohair blends. It was grown by all of the Tregaver Goats - our non-slaughter herd which have a home for us for life. Fibre was grown by Barvus, Barthek and Bolitho, our 3 wether boys, and Boudicca and Baya, our two girls. Professionally spun by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. This mohair is spun as a light aran weight yarn, and each ball is a 50g ball. It is undyed, so can be used as it is, or you could dye it yourself to your needs. Herdwick and Valias Blacknose wool locks 10g for felting and doll hairUnusual but beautiful!I managed to find a herdwick cross with valais blacknose fleece from a fellow sheep keeper.The locks on this one were very interesting - although most of the fleece was white and cream, there are aspects that were grey, silver, and some brown tones tooIt definiately has herdwick in the genetics! You will find some kemp (hollow hair fibres) in these locks, which is a natural characteristic of herdwick sheep, which makes it a coarse fibre.A lovely texture with a clear wave, some locks are almost cream and white, others may have strands of grey and silver, some have brown tones, and some are very dark. Each lock is unique - which is really unusual for a single fleece! So many colours and tones throughout.Each bunch weighs 10g. Carefully prepared to keep their structure, they re ready to use straight from the bundle.

Poll Dorset x Mule RAW wool fleece for spinning, 750gNew to our store! 750g bag of raw poll dorset crossed with northcountry mule fleece! Our 750g craft bags of raw fleeces have been skirted, and all belly wool and very dirty wool has been removed. It contains no marker paint, and has almost no VM throughout the fleece. Our raw poll dorset x mule fleece has been grown by the sheep from my friends Cat and Jer, who are local farmers - and who also supply the silage for my own livestock over winter! As you can see, you will receive sections of fleece, rather than whole fleeces, which ensures that you get the best parts of the fleece, with the minimum of waste when you wash and prepare it for ypur chosen crat!
