Needle Felting wool, Caramel Fudge, Devon and Cornwall longwool curly wool, 10g

Hand dyed Devon and Cornwall Longwool felting wool in hand dyed by myself in warm caramel fudge shades, full of rich golden browns, creamy toffee tones and soft colour variations.

This fibre is Devon and Cornwall longwool wool, a rare breed in the UK that grows lovely fat curls, waves and crimps with a coarse texture which makes it felt easily.  This fibre comes from Tregondale Farm, friends of mine near Bodmin Moor and not far from my own farm - I can confirm exceptionally high welfare standards! It is lovely knowing exactly where the fibre comes from and seeing the sheep living happy, healthy lives out in the fields.

I carefully hand process and hand dyed to preserve the gorgeous natural texture of the fleece, giving you soft flowing curls, chunky waves and some smaller crimps - plenty of character for your fibre art projects.

Devon and Cornwall Longwool is a favourite among felters and fibre artists because of its strong curly texture and excellent felting qualities. The fleece has a slightly coarser texture than softer spinning wools, which makes it fantastic for needle felting, wet felting and sculptural textile art. The curls hold their shape beautifully and add wonderful texture, movement and realism to finished pieces.

This caramel fudge colourway works especially well for woodland themes, animal creations, rustic decorations and natural looking fibre art. It is perfect for making doll hair, fairy hair, Santa beards, gnome beards, tomtes, gonks and fantasy creatures. Many fibre artists also use these curls in weaving, art batts, mixed media embroidery, textured landscapes and spinning art yarns with lots of depth and texture.

There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly.
