New to our store! 100% UK sourced herdwick wool mats/pads Our brand new felting mats are made from 100% UK sourced herdwick wool, and has been professionally felted onto a centre of hessian. Measuring approx 15cm x 15cm with a thickness of 1cm, these are sold in a pack of 2. Some customers may like to use one mat at a time, while others may prefer to double up to make a thicker mat. Our mats do not have covers, so some customers may prefer to make a cover for them so that the herdwick fibres do not shed onto their work, but this is purely a matter of preference for each artist. Our mats are 100% biodegradable, so when you have finished with it, you can then use it in your garden, for example around tender plants to help reduce slug damages!

Welcome to our Fibre Club! Each month, I am selecting a number of items which will only be available in that month's Edition pack - these items are only available through our Fibre Club monthly packs! This idea came from many customers asking me if I would do a monthly fibre subscription club. The logistics of doing this, together with the current cost of living crisis, and lack of disposable income for a lot of folks, has actually sent my thoughts in a slightly different direction. Septembers Fibre Pack for Knitters and Crocheters contains: Our "perfectly pink" mohair yarn - a range of beautifully soft pink tones Our Goatally Gorgeous mohair yarn is 100% pure mohair - so doesn't contain any synthetics, wool, or other fibres, like many mohair blends. It was grown by all of the Tregaver Goats - our non-slaughter herd which have a home for us for life. Fibre was grown by Barvus, Barthek and Bolitho, our 3 wether boys, and Boudicca and Baya, our two girls. Professionally spun by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall, this mohair yarn is spun as a light aran weight yarn, and each hank is 50g , with a length of 90m.

Our Blue faced Leicester loose wool and locks comes from Steph's flock. Blue faced Leicester wool is very soft, and has a mix of crimps and curls, and they are tiny - have a look at the photos to see them in my hand just to show how small and delicate they are! This fibre is from Carn, one of our wether boys in our non slaughter flock of Teeswaters in Cornwall, UK. All our sheep taken care of to very high welfare standards, and of course, have Cornish or Celtic names! Our land on which they graze is managed without the use of man-made chemicals.
