Our pure mohair roving was produced from our own angora goat fibre, (mohair) and professionally scoured and carded into roving by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston This fibre comes from all of our angora goats, Barvus, Barthek, Boudicca and Baya Mohair is a super soft and shiny natural fibre, with a long staple length. As such, our carded roving behaves almost like combed tops - the fibres do not naturally mesh together like carded wool does. As such, it can be used in the place of tops, and is perfect for using as hair on felted dolls, angels or fairies, or used as top coats for a fur like effect on animal makes. There may still be a small amount of VM, which is easily removed. This fibre is super soft and silky, and ideal for spinning on it's own, or to blend with wools for your own preference when spinning.

Weaving and Spinning
Masham Fleece, ready scoured, for hand spinners and spinning30g of masham fleece, hand washed/scoured here at Tregaver Fibre. Welcome spinners to our first fleece prepared specifically for spinners! Whether you have a traditional spinning wheel, a drop spindle or an e-spinner, our masham fleece has been well washed and is ready for you to prepare for spinning. It has not been carded or combed This fleece had several areas of heavy VM, and all of these areas have been removed - therefore for the purchase price you will receive a SECTION of fleece, weighing approx 30g. The remaining sections of fleece, which are now for sale are very low in VM, and have been hand scoured to remove the dirt and lanolin. To prepare it for spinning, you may like to card the fibre first, or use as is - it depends on how you like to spin. The staple of these fleece sections is approx 6" - 8", although some sections may be a touch shorter or longer.
