Uncarded Caramel Core noil fibre for stuffing and feltingOur uncarded core fibre has been been scoured (professionally cleaned), and it may have a very small amount of VM which is easily removed. It's made up from a mixture of breeds, and species, and may be a mix of wool, alpaca and mohair, so no batch is the same. Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt. It's then been hand dyed by myself. To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.

As such, our carded roving behaves almost like combed tops - the fibres do not naturally mesh together like carded wool does. As such, it can be used in the place of tops, and is perfect for using as hair on felted dolls, angels or fairies, or used as top coats for a fur like effect on animal makes. There may still be a small amount of VM, which is easily removed. This fibre is super soft and silky, and ideal for spinning on it's own, or to blend with wools for your own preference when spinning.

After a poll of our customers, the name was picked for this colour scheme, and this listing is for a 10g bunch of teeswater curly locks from one of our own boys, Ankoth. This bunch is featured in our "aurora" carded wool box too, so you can get the whole selection, or you can also buy these individual colours in carded wool in our store! All of our sheep here at Tregaver are a non-slaughter flock, meaning that they will live out their natural lifespan with us, and are never sent for meat.

Wool and fibre Scraps for accenting or stuffing and core 20gIntroducing our "wonky wool"! We all have those "whoopsie" moments when something doesn't quite come out right. But as my grandmother used to say, "everything has a purpose" This wool, mohair and alpaca fibre is the leftovers from processing, when things have not quite gone to plan. As such, it not good enough to make it into my curly wool or ringlet listings but it is perfect for core or stuffing, or accenting work. It is sold in a 20g batch and has a mixture of colours and fibres It really is a lucky dip as to what you get, pictures are indicative only, and our stock will change as more whoopsie moments happen! Please note that this will contain some vm (vegetable matter such as hay and straw) so you may need to tease it out of the fibre before use.
