Curly Wool and Locks
Blackberry Jam, deep purple/pink Wensleydale Curly wool locks, 10g (v)100% hand processed and hand dyed in deep purple/pink tones. These ringlets are from a coloured wensleydale fleece - the fleece is naturally grey and silver with creams, black and brown too. I've then dyed this fleece in a mix of deep purple tones, so the colours throughout are very varied, with some deep and light purples, violets, and pinks. A silvery hue remains when the light catches them too! These Wensleydale locks are approx 5", although some may be a touch shorter or longer, and are sold in a 10g bunch. The fleece is super soft, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts.

These long Wensleydale locks are approx 9-11" and sold in a 10g bunch. The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts.

Heather Mix curly wool and locks, 10g Devon and Cornwall LongwoolThis fibre has been 100% hand processed (very well washed by hand multiple times) and is has been hand dyed in a mixture of heather tones. This fibre has a beautiful wave, and is exceptionally lightweight and fluffy It perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. Ideal for santa beards, gnomes, gonks or tomtes There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Tregondale Farm, set near Bodmin Moor and not far from my own farm - I visited the farm during shearing and picked the fleeces as they were being shorn, so can confirm exceptionally high welfare standards! Red Pink orange Teeswater wool locks, 28g 14g or 7g100% hand processed and hand dyed in mixture of tangerine orange tones These super long teeswater locks are approx 10" and are sold in a 28g, 14g or 7g bunches The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. 28g will be perfect for doll makers who wish to make wigs, or glue the fibre to the doll hair, and will do one standard Monster High type doll For doll makers that prefer to look at the diameter of bunch, it is around 8-10cm, (3-4") which is a good indication of the size head the fibre would cover. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Meadow View - the farm which we bought our teeswater sheep from. I have personally visited their farm on a number of occasions and can confirm they keep their animals to exceptionally high welfare standards. Valais Black nose x Grey Faced Dartmoor light strawberry blonde wool locks 10gThese locks have been very well washed by hand, and the hand dyed in a very pale strawberry blonde tone. . This fibre has a beautiful wave, and is exceptionally lightweight and fluffy It perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. Ideal for santa beards, gnomes, gonks or tomtes There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. These are offered at a slightly lower price, as the tops of the locks (closest to the sheep) have been trimmed to get out most of the VM. The fibre comes from a cross breed sheep - A valais Blacknose crossed with a grey faced Dartmoor, she is called Tallulah. This fibre comes from Clare's Flock, a friends farm. The Spirit of Spring, Carded Wool and Curly Wool BoxTo launch our own, new, carded wool range, we begin with this beautiful collection of Spring Colours! The Spirit of Spring includes: 6 x spring inspired colours of 10g (approx) of carded wool 20g Spring Time mix curly wool More about our fibres: Our carded wool has been professionally carded by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. It consists of wools from our own flock, mixed with some Devon and Cornwall Longwool from Tregondale, and some Perendale from Hannah's Flock. Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt. It's then been hand dyed by myself. To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.
