These are from our 'budget' mix, so are slightly imperfect ringlets.... they may have a little more VM in them, they may have tips missing, they may have 'fluffed out' and separated slightly or have an uneven take up of dye. Therefore, they are not perfect enough to make it into our superb regular bunches; however, they are perfect for craft projects where a small amount of curly fibre is required. Our budget mixes are always changing - therefore the photos attached are only indicative of the ringlets you will receive. I've been asked many times if I would run a 'sponsor a sheep' or 'adopt and animal' type of scheme. I'm looking into setting this up this year, however, I thought I'd begin by giving customers and website visitors the option to buy the sheep and goats a bale! All sales from this item will go towards either hay or straw bales, or their feed, or vet bills. It must be noted that you will not receive a sheep or a goat if you buy this item! It is a way for me to carry on producing the best quality fibre, from my non slaughter flock and herd, and a way for you to support small farmers like myself, if you don't actually need to buy any of my products. I've hummed and ah'd about doing this - I'm not a charity, and I cover all expenses for the livestock either from my sales, or out of my own pocket. After being asked several times if I could set up a system such as this, I've finally decided to add the opportunity to my website!

Known as a 'mule' one of the most popular sheep breeds in the UK is the result of crossing a blue faced leicester, known for their soft fleeces with a swaledale, which has hardier wool. These locks have a superb crimp, and are very lighweight and soft. They are approx 6" in length, although some may be a touch longer or shorter. These locks come from Steph's Flock, an univisted farm, but friend of mine who keeps this breed of sheep. These locks are perfect for doll hair, or for hair, tails or names on animal makes. They are also great to make beards for gnomes, gonks and tomtes and other magical creatures!
