New to our store! 100% UK sourced herdwick wool mats/pads Our brand new felting mats are made from 100% UK sourced herdwick wool, and has been professionally felted onto a centre of hessian. Measuring approx 15cm x 15cm with a thickness of 1cm, these are sold in a pack of 2. Some customers may like to use one mat at a time, while others may prefer to double up to make a thicker mat. Our mats do not have covers, so some customers may prefer to make a cover for them so that the herdwick fibres do not shed onto their work, but this is purely a matter of preference for each artist. Our mats are 100% biodegradable, so when you have finished with it, you can then use it in your garden, for example around tender plants to help reduce slug damages!

Primarily olive oil based, with added sheep's milk, the bars are unscented, and create a thick, dense lather. Ingredients Sodium Olivate (Olive Oil), Sodium Shea Butterate (Shea Butter), Sodium Cocoate (Coconut Oil), Sheep Milk, Sodium Cocoa Butterate (Cocoa Butter), Glycerin, Sodium Castorate (Castor Oil). Minimum 80g.

Red and Pink

Rainbow mini curly wool locks a mixture of teeswater and whitewater curls! 100% hand processed and hand dyed in a mix of red and pink tones, coral aspects. These well separated whitewater locks are approx 3-5" (some may be a touch shorter or longer) and are sold in 10g bunch. White water is a cross breed of sheep - teeswater and white faced dartmoor. The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Clive's flock, a farmer close to my own farm. I have personally visited their farm and met Clive, and can confirm he keeps his animals to exceptionally high welfare standards - some of his sheep have attained high rankings in the Royal Cornwall Show! 30g of masham fleece, hand washed/scoured here at Tregaver Fibre. Welcome spinners to our first fleece prepared specifically for spinners! Whether you have a traditional spinning wheel, a drop spindle or an e-spinner, our masham fleece has been well washed and is ready for you to prepare for spinning. It has not been carded or combed This fleece had several areas of heavy VM, and all of these areas have been removed - therefore for the purchase price you will receive a SECTION of fleece, weighing approx 30g. The remaining sections of fleece, which are now for sale are very low in VM, and have been hand scoured to remove the dirt and lanolin. To prepare it for spinning, you may like to card the fibre first, or use as is - it depends on how you like to spin. The staple of these fleece sections is approx 6" - 8", although some sections may be a touch shorter or longer.
