100% hand processed and hand dip dyed in a mix of silvery blue tones These well separated white faced dartmoor locks are approx 3-5" (some may be a touch shorter or longer) and are sold in 10g bunch. The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Clive's flock, a farmer close to my own farm. I have personally visited their farm and met Clive, and can confirm he keeps his animals to exceptionally high welfare standards - some of his sheep have attained high rankings in the Royal Cornwall Show! 100% hand processed and hand dyed in mixture of tangerine orange tones These super long teeswater locks are approx 10" and are sold in a 28g, 14g or 7g bunches The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. 28g will be perfect for doll makers who wish to make wigs, or glue the fibre to the doll hair, and will do one standard Monster High type doll For doll makers that prefer to look at the diameter of bunch, it is around 8-10cm, (3-4") which is a good indication of the size head the fibre would cover. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Meadow View - the farm which we bought our teeswater sheep from. This high-quality wool is sourced from UK flocks and is soft making it a delight to work with. Not only is it soft, but it is also a quick felting fibre, perfect for a variety of crafting projects. What sets our combed wool apart from many of the 'big box' stores is it's sustainability, and consideration of the miles many commercial wools travel before being sold in the UK. Unlike wool that has travelled thousands of miles, (most big box stores source wool from New Zealand, and other countries), ours has a very low carbon footprint. By supporting other UK farms, we ensure that the wool comes from flocks with excellent welfare standards, guaranteeing that it has not been sourced from farms that practice mulesing. These long, grey faced dartmoor locks are approx 6-8" in length. These locks come from a small flock of grey faced dartmoor sheep kept as pets at pennywort mill holiday cottages. I've visited the farm and their animals are superbly cared for and animal welfare there is paramount. These locks have been brushed out, so are perfect for rerooting dolls, or for beards for gnomes, tomtes, or felting figures Grey Faced Dartmoor locks are perfect for doll making, felting, crocheting, and other fibre crafts.
