These long, grey faced dartmoor locks are approx 6-9" in length. These locks come from a small flock of grey faced dartmoor sheep kept as pets at pennywort mill holiday cottages. I've visited the farm and their animals are superbly cared for and animal welfare there is paramount. These locks have been brushed out, so are perfect for rerooting dolls, or for beards for gnomes, tomtes, or felting figures Grey Faced Dartmoor locks are perfect for doll making, felting, crocheting, and other fibre crafts. Available as a 28g, 14g or 7g bunch. 100% hand processed and hand dyed in a combination of a blue with some indigo purplish hints. These well separated, small but chunky locks are approx 3-5" (some may be a touch shorter or longer) and are sold in a 10g bunch Every single ringlet in each bunch has been hand separated from a fleece, washed, and then small batches were hand dyed in a glacier theme of sky blue and natural white/cream - some ringlets have a dip dye effect, others are full colour. They were then rewashed, and each ringlet separated and laid straight to dry individually, to ensure that there are no 'unnatural' kinks from drying - the waves and curls in each ringlet are the natural structure. The fleece is super soft, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. New to our store! 750g bag of raw poll dorset crossed with northcountry mule fleece! Our 750g craft bags of raw fleeces have been skirted, and all belly wool and very dirty wool has been removed. It contains no marker paint, and has almost no VM throughout the fleece. Our raw poll dorset x mule fleece has been grown by the sheep from my friends Cat and Jer, who are local farmers - and who also supply the silage for my own livestock over winter! As you can see, you will receive sections of fleece, rather than whole fleeces, which ensures that you get the best parts of the fleece, with the minimum of waste when you wash and prepare it for ypur chosen crat!
