Our lilac dip Teeswater curly wool locks Sold in a 10g bunch, these locks come from Carrick , one of our teeswater boys Teeswater is a very soft and silky wool, and makes perfect fairy or angel hair! Great for felting, both needle felting or wet felting, and is popular with doll artists for rerooting, or making wigs, All of our sheep here at Tregaver are a non-slaughter flock, meaning that they will live out their natural lifespan with us, and are never sent for meat.

I've been asked many times if I would run a 'sponsor a sheep' or 'adopt and animal' type of scheme. I'm looking into setting this up this year, however, I thought I'd begin by giving customers and website visitors the option to buy the sheep and goats a bale! All sales from this item will go towards either hay or straw bales, or their feed, or vet bills. It must be noted that you will not receive a sheep or a goat if you buy this item! It is a way for me to carry on producing the best quality fibre, from my non slaughter flock and herd, and a way for you to support small farmers like myself, if you don't actually need to buy any of my products. I've hummed and ah'd about doing this - I'm not a charity, and I cover all expenses for the livestock either from my sales, or out of my own pocket. After being asked several times if I could set up a system such as this, I've finally decided to add the opportunity to my website!

Carded Wool and Fibre

Storm cloud grey carded wool - 10g This medium grey hand dyed carded wool is reminiscent of incoming storm clouds More about our carded wool: Our carded wool has been professionally carded by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. It consists of wools from our own flock, mixed with some Devon and Cornwall Longwool from Tregondale, and some Perendale from Hannah's Flock. Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt. It's then been hand dyed by myself. To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.

Red and Pink

100% hand processed and dyed in a strawberry blonde theme, a fudge/caramel colour with aspects of pinks and orange. I've taken pictures in different light conditions so you can see the difference in the colour of the fibre depending on the light it was photographed in. They come from a sheep that is 87% teeswater - 3/4 teeswater and 1/4 masham which is half teeswater. Summer Sky carded wool - 10g Featured in our Hazy Skies box, this is summer sky themed wool is a pale blue, with some light blue and creamy white too! A very wide range of curls, from various breeds curly wool - from teeswater to wensleydale, we use around 6-7 breeds of curly wool sheep to create this sunset themed mix! Available in various weights, so you can buy the right amount for your project. Perfect for adding to your craft stash, each bag is unique and contains a varied mix of colours and fibres. No two bags are the same, so pictures are indicitive of contents only. The fibres are soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts.
