Blackberry Jam, deep purple/pink Wensleydale Curly wool locks, 10g (v)100% hand processed and hand dyed in deep purple/pink tones. These ringlets are from a coloured wensleydale fleece - the fleece is naturally grey and silver with creams, black and brown too. I've then dyed this fleece in a mix of deep purple tones, so the colours throughout are very varied, with some deep and light purples, violets, and pinks. A silvery hue remains when the light catches them too! These Wensleydale locks are approx 5", although some may be a touch shorter or longer, and are sold in a 10g bunch. The fleece is super soft, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts.

Blue and Indigo wavy white faced dartmoor wool locks100% hand processed and hand dyed in a combination of a blue with some indigo purplish hints. These well separated, small but chunky locks are approx 3-5" (some may be a touch shorter or longer) and are sold in a 10g bunch Every single ringlet in each bunch has been hand separated from a fleece, washed, and then small batches were hand dyed in a glacier theme of sky blue and natural white/cream - some ringlets have a dip dye effect, others are full colour. They were then rewashed, and each ringlet separated and laid straight to dry individually, to ensure that there are no 'unnatural' kinks from drying - the waves and curls in each ringlet are the natural structure. The fleece is super soft, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. Known as a 'mule' one of the most popular sheep breeds in the UK is the result of crossing a blue faced leicester, known for their soft fleeces with a swaledale, which has hardier wool. These locks have a superb crimp, and are very lighweight and soft. They are approx 6" in length, although some may be a touch longer or shorter. These locks come from Steph's Flock, an univisted farm, but friend of mine who keeps this breed of sheep. These locks are perfect for doll hair, or for hair, tails or names on animal makes. They are also great to make beards for gnomes, gonks and tomtes and other magical creatures!

Herdwick and Valias Blacknose wool locks 10g for felting and doll hairUnusual but beautiful!I managed to find a herdwick cross with valais blacknose fleece from a fellow sheep keeper.The locks on this one were very interesting - although most of the fleece was white and cream, there are aspects that were grey, silver, and some brown tones tooIt definiately has herdwick in the genetics! You will find some kemp (hollow hair fibres) in these locks, which is a natural characteristic of herdwick sheep, which makes it a coarse fibre.A lovely texture with a clear wave, some locks are almost cream and white, others may have strands of grey and silver, some have brown tones, and some are very dark. Each lock is unique - which is really unusual for a single fleece! So many colours and tones throughout.Each bunch weighs 10g. Carefully prepared to keep their structure, they re ready to use straight from the bundle.

Light aqua blue green teeswater curly wool locks, 28g, 14g or 7g100% hand processed and hand dyed in a light aqua theme These super long teeswater locks are approx 6-8" and are sold in a 28g, or 14g or 7g bunches The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. 28g will be perfect for doll makers who wish to make wigs, or glue the fibre to the doll hair, and will do one standard Monster High type doll For doll makers that prefer to look at the diameter of bunch, it is around 8-10cm, (3-4") which is a good indication of the size head the fibre would cover. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Meadow View - the farm which we bought our teeswater sheep from. I have personally visited their farm on a number of occasions and can confirm they keep their animals to exceptionally high welfare standards.
