Introducing our Budget Suri Alpaca Locks! Weighing in at 10g and boasting an extreme length of 12-16", these gorgeous white locks are perfect for all your doll-making needs. While they come with a higher VM count than our standard locks, don t let that deter you! A little extra prep is all it takes to transform these beauties into stunning doll hair, doll wefts, or doll wigs. Gently washed to remove dirt, these locks retain their natural undyed colour, showcasing the unique character of a 2-year fleece growth. Some staining may be present, but that just adds to their charm! With a bit of gentle brushing or combing, you can easily remove any VM and unleash your creativity.
Our BUDGET alpaca locks have a higher VM count than our standard locks, and may need more preparation than our standard locks. As such, they are offered at a reduced price, but the fibre is still very much useable for those crafters that don't mind a bit of extra works in their crafting.
Approx 12-16", these suri alpaca locks have been gently washed to remove dirt and are in their natural undyed colour of white. These locks may have some areas of staining, as this a 2 year fleece growth, and it is exceptionally rare to find locks with a 16 inch staple!
Due to the fact that Snap Dragon, the boy who grew these amazing locks was wearing his fleece for 2 years, there is VM in the locks - this can be removed by gently brushing or combing.
White suri locks are one of the most prized fibres in the doll wig making world - they can be dyed in bright or pastel colours, and are a real blank canvas for your makes.
This fibre is from Popham alpacas in Cornwall, and I have visited their farm and can confirm their animal welfare standards are superb!
Suri alpaca is a cherished fibre - it takes the alpaca 2 years to grow their fleeces before they are shorn.
