Curly Wool and Locks
Gold / Golden Toffee mini curly wool locks 3-6" 10g100% hand processed and hand dyed in a mix of golden toffee tones. These well separated whitewater locks are approx 3-5" (some may be a touch shorter or longer) and are sold in 10g bunch. White water is a cross breed of sheep - teeswater and white faced dartmoor. The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Clives's flock, a farmer close to my own farm. I have personally visited their farm and met Clive, and can confirm he keeps his animals to exceptionally high welfare standards - some of his sheep have attained high rankings in the Royal Cornwall Show! Rose Pink Carded Wool 10gRose Pink carded wool - 10g This rose pink hand dyed carded wool is reminiscent of summer country garden roses More about our carded wool: Our carded wool has been professionally carded by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. It consists of wools from our own flock, mixed with some Devon and Cornwall Longwool from Tregondale, and some Perendale from Hannah's Flock. Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt. It's then been hand dyed by myself. To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.

Wool Nepps - tiny balls of woolWool Nepps Our wool nepps are UK sourced wool, unlike many other online stores! Nepps are used to add textures and definition to wool sculptures or during spinning. I've included a photo of a pumpkin (not included with the sale) with nepps scattered on top to look like a snowy scene! Wool nepps are tiny, uneven sized and shaped felted balls of wool, and measure only a few millimeters, and sometimes smaller or bigger. Currently I only have undyed nepps available, but I will be adding more variations as I create some dye batches.

Vegetarian - Non Slaughter Wool and Mohair
Goatally Gorgeous Pure Mohair Yarn, Hand Dyed in mint cream tones (v)Our Goatally Gorgeous mohair yarn is 100% pure mohair - so doesn't contain any synthetics, wool, or other fibres, like many mohair blends. It was grown by all of the Tregaver Goats - our non-slaughter herd which have a home for us for life. Fibre was grown by Barvus, Barthek and Bolitho, our 3 wether boys, and Boudicca and Baya, our two girls. Professionally spun by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall, this mohair yarn is spun as a light aran weight yarn, and each hank is 50g , with a length of 90m.

This yarn is 100% pure mohair - so doesn't contain any synthetics like many mohair blends. It was grown by all of the Tregaver Goats - our non-slaughter herd which have a home for us for life. Fibre was grown by Barvus, Barthek and Bolitho, our 3 wether boys, and Boudicca and Baya, our two girls. Professionally spun by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. This mohair is spun as a light aran weight yarn, and each ball is a 50g ball. It is undyed, so can be used as it is, or you could dye it yourself to your needs. Natural and undyed, these came from Ian's flock, a local farmer who supplies me with winter hay and straw, and I buy fleeces from him Sold in a 10g bunch with an approx 5-7" staple length. Perfect wool locks, which are really popular for santa beards, tomtes and other fae folk! Great for felting, both needle felting or wet felting, and is popular with doll artists for rerooting, or making wigs. Due to the nature of this fibre, despite being washed mutiple times, a small amount of dirt may remain on some of the tips. This can usually be removed by lightly rubbing, or you could wash out the ends a little more if needed. As with all of our fibre, there may be a small amount of VM in the locks

Herdwick and Valias Blacknose wool locks 10g for felting and doll hairUnusual but beautiful!I managed to find a herdwick cross with valais blacknose fleece from a fellow sheep keeper.The locks on this one were very interesting - although most of the fleece was white and cream, there are aspects that were grey, silver, and some brown tones tooIt definiately has herdwick in the genetics! You will find some kemp (hollow hair fibres) in these locks, which is a natural characteristic of herdwick sheep, which makes it a coarse fibre.A lovely texture with a clear wave, some locks are almost cream and white, others may have strands of grey and silver, some have brown tones, and some are very dark. Each lock is unique - which is really unusual for a single fleece! So many colours and tones throughout.Each bunch weighs 10g. Carefully prepared to keep their structure, they re ready to use straight from the bundle.
