The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Clives's flock, a farmer close to my own farm. I have personally visited their farm and met Clive, and can confirm he keeps his animals to exceptionally high welfare standards - some of his sheep have attained high rankings in the Royal Cornwall Show! Blue Faced Leicester x Swaledale wool locks, hand dip dyed in a grey mix of tones. Known as a 'mule' one of the most popular sheep breeds in the UK is the result of crossing a blue faced leicester, known for their soft fleeces with a swaledale, which has hardier wool. These locks have a superb crimp, and are very lighweight and soft. They are approx 6" in length, although some may be a touch longer or shorter. These locks come from Steph's Flock, an univisted farm, but friend of mine who keeps this breed of sheep. These locks are perfect for doll hair, or for hair, tails or names on animal makes. These locks have been very well washed by hand, and the hand dyed in a very pale strawberry blonde tone. . This fibre has a beautiful wave, and is exceptionally lightweight and fluffy It perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. Ideal for santa beards, gnomes, gonks or tomtes There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. These are offered at a slightly lower price, as the tops of the locks (closest to the sheep) have been trimmed to get out most of the VM. The fibre comes from a cross breed sheep - A valais Blacknose crossed with a grey faced Dartmoor, she is called Tallulah. This fibre comes from Clare's Flock, a friends farm.
