Introducing our "wonky wool"! We all have those "whoopsie" moments when something doesn't quite come out right. But as my grandmother used to say, "everything has a purpose" This wool, mohair and alpaca fibre is the leftovers from processing, when things have not quite gone to plan. As such, it not good enough to make it into my curly wool or ringlet listings but it is perfect for core or stuffing, or accenting work. You can choose from: Pastels Blues Greens Pinks and Purples Naturals (Browns, blacks, silvers, undyed white/cream) Yellow and orange Multi mix - a little bit of everything! It's all been very well washed, but may contain some vm. These mixed length suri alpaca locks range from 8-12" Used for reroots, doll hair and by fibre artists, the fibre is super soft! This fibre comes from Emma's Herd, Moor View up on Bodmin Moor and I've visited their farm and can confirm they keep their livestock to superb animal welfare standards! These are hand dyed in a fire mix. The nature of this fibre means there may be a small amount of VM, and due to the wet winter we had, there may be some remaining dirt, and may be fragile in places, but they have been very well washed.

Red and Pink

These have been 100% hand processed (very well washed by hand multiple times) and are natural and and dip dyed with red on the tips Please note that wool is not white unless it has been lightened or bleached, and we never use harsh chemicals on our fibres. 100% hand processed and hand dyed in a sea greens theme of mostly greens, but with some blue and gray aspects too, reminiscent of the Cornish Ocean waves! These Wensleydale locks are approx 5- 6" and are sold in a 10g bunches The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. 28g will be perfect for doll makers who wish to make wigs, or glue the fibre to the doll hair, and will do one standard Monster High type doll For doll makers that prefer to look at the diameter of bunch, it is around 8-10cm, (3-4") which is a good indication of the size head the fibre would cover. Our Nothern Lights Aurora Borealis inspired curly wool locks May 2024, and the rare sight of the Northern Lights was visible across Cornwall! After a poll of our customers, the name was picked for this colour scheme, and this listing is for a 10g bunch of teeswater curly locks from one of our own boys, Ankoth. This bunch is featured in our "aurora" carded wool box too, so you can get the whole selection, or you can also buy these individual colours in carded wool in our store! All of our sheep here at Tregaver are a non-slaughter flock, meaning that they will live out their natural lifespan with us, and are never sent for meat.
