Iris Purple Carded Wool 10g

Iris Purple carded wool - 10g More about our carded wool: Our carded wool has been professionally carded by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. It consists of wools from our own flock, mixed with some Devon and Cornwall Longwool from Tregondale, and some Perendale from Hannah's Flock. Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt. It's then been hand dyed by myself. To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.

Felting Mat, 100% UK Herdwick Wool, A4 size, approx 21 cm x 30 cm

New to our store! 100% UK sourced herdwick wool mats/pads - A4 size Our brand new felting mats are made from 100% UK sourced herdwick wool, and has been professionally felted onto a centre of hessian. Measuring approx 21 cm x 30cm with a thickness of 1cm. Our mats do not have covers, so some customers may prefer to make a cover for them so that the herdwick fibres do not shed onto their work, but this is purely a matter of preference for each artist. I prefer not to cover my mats as I find covers can blunt needles quickly! Herdwick wool is exceptionally tough and durable, so your felting pads will last a long time! Our mats are 100% biodegradable, so when you have finished with it, you can then use it in your garden, for example around tender plants to help reduce slug damages! Please note our mats are hand cut, which means there may be some slight variation in sizes, and edges may not be perfectly straight!

Curly Wool and Locks

Lipstick pink mix curly wool, 10g

100% hand processed and hand dyed in a variety of lipstick pink tones. This curly wool is loose fibre, which has been separated but is not in perfect locks. White water is a cross breed of sheep - teeswater and white faced dartmoor. The fleece is super soft, and silky, and is perfect for arts such as needle or wet felting, or for doll making, and other fibre crafts. There may be a small amount of VM, however they have been picked through thoroughly. This fibre comes from Clives's flock, a farmer close to my own farm. I have personally visited their farm and met Clive, and can confirm he keeps his animals to exceptionally high welfare standards - some of his sheep have attained high rankings in the Royal Cornwall Show!
